Accomplishments / Contributions:
• Pioneer in the political involvement in Cupertino Area. Currently, there are over 12 elected
Chinese-Americans in the area
• Started the first Chinese School in Cupertino with 73 students and it grew into three large schools
with over 2000 students
• Organized the 1992 and 1994 World Youth Wei-Chi ("GO") Tournament in San Jose with 16 countries participating
• Successfully initiated the Confucius celebration by the San Dong Association to merge with the Teacher of the Year award by the Chinese Schools Association into one large ceremony annually on Confucius's birthday
• Project manager for the NCKU global web site (www.NCKU.NET) development
• Organized and led the Cheng Da troops to the overall consecutive Championships for 1999 and 2000 in the Chinese American Athletic tournament in SF Bay Area
