The role of product management group is to conceive, propose, and evangelize solutions to solve major IT problems facing global enterprises and datacenters. We are looking for energetic, passionate and creative people to develop, execute and promote the product management’s vision into solutions that deliver tangible value for our customers.
Responsibilities
· This is a leadership role in the fast growing industry.
· Leveraging from datacenter experience, this role will conceive,
propose, and evangelize solutions to solve major IT problems facing enterprises and datacenters.
· This position will be responsible for managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planningto tactical execution.
· Develop market requirements and maintain feature requirements for
current and future productsby conducting market research and on-going visits to customers and prospects.
· Develop and write product requirements, maintain and develop all
product documentationincluding business case, product requirements, pricing and policies.
· Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments toexecute.
· Work closely with engineering, product marketing, sales, and various other stakeholders.
· The product lifecycle will include customer-driven development.
· Public speaking engagements at EMC World and other conferences.
· Able to manage product line by analyzing industry trends, competitive analysis, revenue and market share analysis.
Experience, Skills and Competencies Preferred
· 8–10 years experience in Product Management, Sales, Engineering or
Consulting engagements related to datacenters.
· Strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, databases,
reporting tools, middleware, security, monitoring and high availability systems.
· Recent experience in Storage Area Networking and Cloud Computing
technologies.
· Strong knowledge of technical applications with a willingness to learn
and keep up to date.
· Strong knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice.
· Extensive knowledge in business and technical solution applications.
· Expert understanding of servers and data center architectures.
· Expertise in designing for replication/disaster recovery, data protection, Storage infrastructure.
· Expertise with server operating systems, databases, business
applications, and application integration.
· Expert knowledge in implementing management and monitoring
infrastructure for the datacenter.
· Expert knowledge of data center virtualization consolidation, disaster recovery, backups, and networking.
· Must be able to apply industry best practices and standards in
evaluating existing data centers for Tier level and supportable capacity.
· Expertise with Data Center technologies: Security products, Network
Infrastructure, Applications, Servers and Virtualization.
Required:
- Bachelors (Technology) or equivalent and MBA from a top school
strongly preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including public
speaking to large audiences.
- Fast-paced decision making.
- Able to prioritize projects and work seamlessly with various
stakeholders.
- Small company experience and entrepreneurial bent.
- Able to analyze financial, sales, support and survey data for insight
and trends.
